A sculptural light object about presence, care, and holding light.
HOLD
HOLD depicts a dog carrying a glowing LED tube. It is inspired the artists own dog Snoop and the light he brings into her life.
Light is a symbol for care and attention, something held, protected, and shared between us.
HOLD can be seen as an object inbetween sculpture and function.
It emits light, but it is the act of holding that is the true meaning.

Each piece is produced through slow additive manufacturing and finished by hand.
HOLD can be ordererd as it is, or customized to represent another animal or pet.
I strive to capture each individual animals beauty and unique expression. The process takes time, intentionally.
Material, form, and surface are treated with equal care.
No piece is rushed or exactly the same.
