Elin Gärdenfors

My work explores the space between functional object and sculptural presence.

I’m drawn to illuminated sculptures; objects that emit a quiet radiance and settle into a space rather than occupy it.

Much of my work is inspired by my Italian Greyhound, Snoop, whose presence has brought both light into my life, and quietly reignited my creative process.

Most of my works are developed through digital 3D modeling and produced using 3D printing in recycled PLA, combining technological precision with a tactile, human finish of painting.

EDCUATION

BA in Fine Arts in Architecture from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam (2016).
