yūkō - illuminated fossils
Yūkō means “ghostly glow” in Japanese. Yuku is a small luminous object inspired by danish fossilized sea urchins and the quiet glow of Japanese lanterns. Nature has a way of creating calm through variety, where each shape coexists in quiet harmony with the next.
Yuku appears almost like a small artifact that softly glows.
Softly present, never dominant.

HOLD - the iggy light
HOLD depicts an italian greyhound carrying a glowing LED tube.
The gesture is calm and restrained, yet charged with meaning.
Light becomes a symbol for care and attention, something held, protected, and shared within a home.
The object exists between sculpture and function.
It emits light, but it is the act of holding that defines it.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
My work explores the space between functional objects and sculptural presence.
Much of my work is inspired by my dog Snoop; my italian greyhound whose presence has brought light into my daily life as well as reignited my creative process.
Through physical objects, I try to manifest the bond between humans and their pet. Inspired by the light, energy, and presence that they hold in space.
